“In January, we remember the life and ministry of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., who spoke of a mountaintop, from which he and all of us could see a new world, in which people of every color and every race live together as children of God.”*
In recognition of Dr. King’s legacy of service to all, Congress designated the Martin Luther King Jr. Federal Holiday as a national day of service in 1994.
Let us celebrate and remember on this day and every day, Dr. King’s legacy by seeking to live in unity with and service to one another.
