With summer drawing closer, now is a good time to start thinking about how your church might help minimize “summer learning loss” which can occur when a child is out of school for summer vacation. Many children, especially those living in low income families, do not receive sufficient educational stimulation during the summer. The result is a child that drops behind his/her peers academically.

Think about the possibility of your church collecting books to give to students to read during the summer months. In addition, consider partnering with a school in your community involved in a summer reading camp/program effort. This is a great way to support C4C, make a difference in your community and serve as the hands and feet of Christ.
