The application deadline for Duke Divinity School’s Convocation on the Rural Church has been extended to Wednesday, April 30. Pastors of churches eligible for grants from The Duke Endowment are invited to apply to attend the event, Aug. 11-13 in Myrtle Beach.
Discussions will focus on issues around transforming rural churches and communities, and sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The theme of this year’s event is “Sabbath Living,” and facilitators are Matthew Sleeth, author of “24/6: Prescription for a Healthier, Happier Life;” and Nancy Sleeth, author of “Almost Amish.”
