Update: The MissionInsite events will be live streamed during their scheduled times. View them on the NC Conference Video Dashboard.
Two workshops on MissionInsite will be offered at the NC Conference office in Garner this February.
On Feb. 24, 1-4 p.m., Tom Bandy will present demographic information related to the census data and demographic reports available to us from MissionInsite. Register online for this workshop.
Participants in the Bandy workshop will discover how to use the Impressions Reports and Mosiac Groups. Impressions cover the values and mood of a community, and the resource provides insight into the population groups’ attitudes, behaviors and preferences for leadership, hospitality, worship, programs and technology. Together the pieces of information may guide a church to greater impact through her ministries.
On Feb. 25, 9 a.m.-noon, Peter Wernett will present the MissionInsite Demographic Resource for churches. Register online for this workshop.
Peter Wernett’s workshop provides an overview of the MissionInsite demographic system, widely used by churches, school systems and other institutions in the US. The website offers customized demographic reports for congregations, districts, or the conference, as well as, downloads and other resources. The NC Conference has found the tools highly effective in work with congregations that want to connect with their neighbors more effectively.
Both workshops will be held in the Dixon Chapel, and participants are encouraged to bring a laptop or notepad. There is no charge for the workshops, but space and internet capacity are limited to 60 persons per workshop, so registration is required by Feb. 10. Participants wishing to attend both workshops need to register individually for each workshop.
