Purpose of the event:
Provide training related to school based health centers to communities and interested school based partners as a part of the Train the Trainer Grant.
What are School Based/School Linked Health Centers?
School based/school linked health centers provide comprehensive preventative services to children ages 10-19 who are enrolled in public schools (health risk screenings, physical examinations, counseling for medical issues or risk factors), medical services, nutrition, mental health) or alternate health models (screening for health risk, referral and follow up). These models are community based and the community determines which type of programs meets the needs of their communities.
