Abingdon Women is publishing inspiring and educational studies for women’s groups in United Methodist churches. Get acquainted with Jessica LaGrone, Melissa Spoelstra, Tiffany Bluhm, and others who have lots of wisdom, experience, and theology to share with women.
The NC Conference Media Center has just added three new DVD studies on women who encountered Jesus, the miracles of Jesus, and the book of Numbers. We also have over 10 other women’s DVD studies from this publisher, a division of the United Methodist Publishing House. See below for more information.
These studies can be borrowed by anyone associated with the North Carolina Conference of The United Methodist Church. We can even mail them to you! All you need to do is fill out the Resource Request Form.
The Miracles of Jesus by Jessica LaGrone
Jessica LaGrone is Dean of the Chapel at Asbury Theological Seminary. She previously served as Pastor of Creative Ministries at The Woodlands United Methodist Church in Houston, Texas. The Media Center also carries studies published by the United Methodist Women. We just added the two studies listed below that are new this year. Embracing Wholeness: An Earth Perspective for Covenantal Living
This study is a follow-up to the Living as a Covenant Community study released in 2016. Both studies look at covenant relationships in the bible. This newest study examines covenant in light of all creation. It is an excellent study to match our 2018 annual conference theme, Generosity in All Creation.
What About Our Money? : A Faith Response
The 2018 UMW issue study is on money and our response to it as people of faith. The study will examine money issues for individuals and the community including economic inequality. Studies for youth and children on this topic are also available.
