What will your small group study after Advent? Browse these lists of resources to decide on your next study or create a study plan for 2020. You can reserve resources up to a year in advance!
Recently Published DVD Studies
These 8 studies were published in Fall 2019. If your group hasn’t had the chance to try them, now is a good time to get them on your schedule.
8-9 Session Studies
There are 9 Sundays between Advent and Lent. Check out our post from last year that lists studies that last for 8 or 9 sessions. (Skip over the 10-session studies that fit our calendar last year, or consider them for after Lent!)
DVD and Book Studies – Complete lists by topic
Visit our Genre Collections page in our online catalog. You will find lists of book studies and DVD studies divided into major topics (e.g. Christian Faith, Christian Living, Methodism) and subtopics within each list (e.g. Spiritual Formation, Christian History, Parenting).
The lists of book studies only include books that have discussion questions or a study guide making them suitable for use in a small group.
Other lists on the Genre Collections page include Devotionals, Online Resources, Reproducible Book Studies, and Single-Session DVD Studies. If you end up using a standard 6-week study after Advent, you can fill in the extra meetings with single-session studies!
Pathfinders – Complete list of resources by topic
The Pathfinders page in our online catalog offers lots of lists on topics of interest. Each of these pathfinders lists all of our resources on the given topic including studies, books, curriculum, movies, and more. Some lists include resources for youth and children as well.
For your post-Advent study, you may want to try our pathfinders on Churchwide Studies for All Ages, Efird Bible Study Series, Discipleship, Creation Care, Love and Relationships, or Spiritual Disciplines.
Browse a list of resources that have recently been reviewed by other members of the NC Conference. Use their comments to consider how the resource could be used in your church.
