I&#8217;m Christian. I&#8217;m Methodist.<\/a> edited by Rudy Rasmus. Ten Black women and men explore life through the lens of compelling personal religious narratives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/nccumc-hl.mimas.opalsinfo.net\/bin\/index#\/recDetail?rid=6261\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Pioneer Black Clergywomen: Stories of Black Clergywomen of the United Methodist Church 1974-2016<\/a> by Josephine Whitely-Fields. Black clergywomen are pioneers of the United Methodist Church who continue to significantly contribute to making disciples and spreading the good news of the gospel of Jesus Christ.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/nccumc-hl.mimas.opalsinfo.net\/bin\/index#\/recDetail?rid=757\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">The Lumbee Methodists: Getting to Know Them: A Folk History<\/a> by Joseph Michael Smith and Lula Jane Smith. This book is a comprehensive history of the relationship between Lumbee Indians and Methodism in North Carolina.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/nccumc-hl.mimas.opalsinfo.net\/bin\/index#\/recDetail?rid=1497\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">On This Spirit Walk: The Voices of Native American and Indigenous Peoples<\/a> by Henrietta Mann and Anita Phillips. Native American United Methodist writers contributed to this small group study for the local church.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/nccumc-hl.mimas.opalsinfo.net\/bin\/index#\/recDetail?rid=5248\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Spiritual Kaizen: How to Become a Better Church Leader<\/a> by Grant Hagiya. \u201cKaizen\u201d is a Japanese word that translates roughly, \u201cto change or correct for the better.\u201d All of us can grow and develop into more effective leaders and we can do this at any time during our careers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2
