$ Demystifying Devotions: A Christian Formation Workshop with Jim Harnish (Center for Leadership Excellence)

It’s your turn to lead the brief devotions at the beginning of the meeting. What will you do? Will it be more than an easily forgotten mini-sermon or a trite story you picked up online? Jim Harnish has been there and done that more times than he can count. Drawing on 43 years of experience as a pastor, author, and group leader, he will share practical examples and helpful tools to equip clergy and laity to “demystify” the process of preparation in the hope to “remystify” meetings with the mysterious presence of God’s Spirit. The workshop will also be helpful to preachers in preparing online or virtual devotional experiences.
