Discussion Forum: Introduce Yourself
Hi, everyone . . .
My older brother, Carter, was born with spina bifida, a condition which has offered him some steep challenges. We have faced these together as a family. This experience is probably the main reason I am taking this class.
1. I hope to learn how the church best relates to disabilities and people who have them, especially rediscovering and accepting disability as a normal and valuable aspect every family.
2. At the end, I hope to be a better informed and more helpful family member.
Hi Charles! I look forward to being in this class with you! One of my undergraduate degrees was in English.
Nice to "meet" you Charles. I look forward to learning with you.
Hi Charles! Good to meet you in this course. I look forward to learning from your insights!
Welcome, Charles. I hope you find this a good experience and enjoy learning with the rest of the group about how we can help churches have these important conversations about ministry with persons with disabilities.
Nice to "see" you again. I like your responses especially as they relate to how I can be a better informed and more helpful church family member. It reminds me that all of this is more than just accessibility - it is also about reminding all of us that we are all God's children and we are all more than enough!
Hi everyone! Thanks for your greetings. Just returned from vacation, and I look forward from now on to having a good environment for studying these materials and making these posts. I've enjoyed reading your posts so far, and I look forward to working through next week's topics.
