My name is Paula Mosher. I am a Registered Nurse and have worked in the Home Health field for 25 years. I live in Louisburg, NC with my husband Bob who is a part-time local pastor. I am involved with the newly formed Health Ministries Team for the conference and a part of the committee for Differently Abled Persons. I also am participating in a class for a Health Minister Certification, .
1. What do I hope to learn from this class? I hope to learn more about the obstacles that our churches (building access, response to) present to people who who present with different abilities, as well as steps to take to help our congregations as they face the changes that occur as part of the aging process.
2. What do I hope to be able to do as a result of taking this class? I hope to be able to take information and be a resource for faith communities that I am involved in as well as being able to better understand issues faced by the church as well as the people with different abilities who attend (or want to attend) them .
