What core commitments might inform how we grapple with the most contentious issues of our day\u2014like climate change, immigration, racism, gun violence, health care? How do we transcend the politics of outrage that dominates our society and turns neighbors, even family members, into enemies? Despite our ideological differences, can we find enough common ground to work together for the common good?<br><br>In this online, interactive workshop, we\u2019ll explore practical strategies for how to talk about, and practice, a politics of compassion that fosters a society grounded in universal concern, care, and commitment to the common good. Mark Feldmeir has served as Sr. Pastor at St. Andrew United Methodist Church in Highlands Ranch, CO since 2014. He previously led United Methodist congregations in Orange County and San Diego, California.
