To read full course descriptions for both years, click the button below to learn more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong><em>Virtual Orientation<\/em><\/strong> (Aug 23, 2021, 1pm-3pm)<\/li><li><strong><em>Self Awareness and Self Care<\/em><\/strong>&nbsp;(Sep 13-14, 2021)<\/li><li><em><strong>Relationships and Team Building<\/strong><\/em>&nbsp;(Oct 18-19, 2021)<\/li><li><strong><em>Conflict Management&nbsp;<\/em><\/strong>(Nov 15-16, 2021)<\/li><li><strong><em>Servant Leadership and Communication<\/em><\/strong>&nbsp;(Jan 10-11, 2022)<\/li><li><em><strong>Best Practices in Leading People<\/strong><\/em>&nbsp;(Feb 7-8, 2022)<\/li><li><em><strong>Leading Change<\/strong><\/em>&nbsp;(Mar&nbsp;14-15, 2022)<\/li><li><strong><em>Retreat: Living as a Spiritual Leader<\/em><\/strong>&nbsp;(May 9-10, 2022)<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>A shorter online session and individual debriefs will be held for Fellows who have not yet completed the Intercultural Development Inventory (IDI) through another conference opportunity.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Class sessions meet Monday afternoons and Tuesday mornings at Edenton Street UMC in Raleigh. Hotel rooms are provided for those who live too far from Raleigh to commute. Also, while we hope to be in-person again by September 2021, these sessions would go forward in a virtual format if needed, as has been the practice throughout this past year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The first-year, year-end retreat will be an overnight experience at the Trinity Center in Pine Knoll Shores, NC.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"text-align:center\" class=\"wp-block-genesis-blocks-gb-button gb-block-button\"><a href=\"http:\/\/nccumc.org\/leadership\/fellows\/curriculum\" class=\"gb-button gb-button-shape-rounded gb-button-size-medium\" style=\"color:#ffffff;background-color:#e4002b\">Learn More about the Curriculum<\/a><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Anyone can apply! Though clergy often initiate the process, an interested lay person can also indicate interest and invite their pastor to join them. Consider making this commitment to yourself and your church.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Clergy or laity who are interested in being a part of this next cohort should reach out to Leah Wiebe-Smith (<a href=\"mailto:lwiebesmith@nccumc.org?subject=I%27m%20interested%20in%20Fellows!\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">lwiebesmith@nccumc.org<\/a>).
