We hope that opening up our minds to how others experience the world will move us closer to who God needs us to be, as prophetic voices in this broken world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>About Dr. Malinda Maynor Lowery:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"alignleft size-medium\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/nccumc.org\/leadership\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/18\/files\/2020\/10\/Malinda-Lowery-225x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-4214\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Malinda Maynor Lowery is a historian and documentary film producer who is a member of the Lumbee Tribe of North Carolina. She is a Professor of History at UNC-Chapel Hill and Director of the Center for the Study of the American South.
