In today\u2019s challenging times, it seems harder to know how to respond to the big feelings and the silent feelings. Learn how to understand the brain states to form a better response in the moment and discover tools for managing emotional self regulation. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>About Amy Thompson:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"alignleft size-medium\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/nccumc.org\/leadership\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/18\/files\/2020\/05\/Amy-Thompson-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3732\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Amy Thompson is a fun-loving, outgoing Jesus girl, who lives with her husband, Trent, and their teenage son, Zane. Amy has a heart for young people. She spends her professional time working with children, families and teachers in Head Start programs. She is a licensed clinical social worker and spent 17 years providing counseling to children and teens. When not supporting her son in activities or KU basketball (don\u2019t hold it against her!), she enjoys fly-fishing, reading and taking walks.
