Lies My Preacher Told Me: An Honest Look at the Old Testament
Presented by the Center for Leadership Excellence
with Brent A. Strawn
Wednesday, July 29, 11am EST
(should last no more than one hour)
About the Webinar:
In this webinar, Brent will discuss his forthcoming book, Lies My Preacher Told Me: An Honest Look at the Old Testament (Westminster John Knox, January 2021) which covers 10 mistruths about the Old Testament that are common among Christians, whether lay or ordained. Have you ever thought that the Old Testament is hyper-violent, practically irrelevant or devoid of spiritually enriching material? Those are actually not true! Another mistruth Brent will discuss is “What Really Matters is that ‘Everything Is About Jesus.’” If you’ve ever had questions about the Old Testament as Christian Scripture, this webinar is for you!
