The Center for Leadership Excellence presents a webinar specifically designed for children’s and youth ministers (and parents!). All are welcome, but please consider sharing this opportunity with those who work with children and youth in your church…
About the Webinar: On any given day, children and teens experience a wide range of emotions and we are often left trying to determine how best to support them. In today’s challenging times, it seems harder to know how to respond to the big feelings and the silent feelings. Learn how to understand the brain states to form a better response in the moment and discover tools for managing emotional self regulation.
Help! How Can I Respond to the Emotions?
Presented by the Center for Leadership Excellence
with Amy Thompson
Wednesday, May 20, 11am EST
(should last no longer than one hour)
About Amy Thompson:
Amy Thompson is a fun-loving, outgoing Jesus girl, who lives with her husband, Trent, and their teenage son, Zane. Amy has a heart for young people. She spends her professional time working with children, families and teachers in Head Start programs. She is a licensed clinical social worker and spent 17 years providing counseling to children and teens. When not supporting her son in activities or KU basketball (don’t hold it against her!), she enjoys fly-fishing, reading and taking walks. Amy currently serves as the Conference Lay Leader for the Missouri Conference of the UMC and has dedicated her life to encouraging laity to live into their callings.
