Preaching is a gift, though the weekly preparation for proclamation can sometimes be a daunting prospect. Preaching WELL is a chance to think deeply about text, and then to share thoughts and ideas with colleagues around the table and then with the full group. Primarily, the time at Preaching WELL will be spent in a generative process of culling out the strongest concepts about the text from Advent to Lent. You will come away with a sermon map to reference, and since sermon planning is an iterative process, you can continue to add to thoughts, ideas, and stories to the map once you return home. During Preaching WELL, you will hear two sermons, worship with others, use paint and canvas as a means of text reflection if you choose to, learn new ideas in workshops, and enjoy the ocean. All of this will be done with an intimate group of around 60 of your fellow preachers.
