The NC Conference Lay Servant Ministries Committee is supporting laity as they discern next steps in ministry, and there are still opportunities to participate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On Saturday, May 2, forty laity gathered in the NC Conference office in Garner for a Day of Discovery focused on exploring how laity are called to ministry. We worshipped together, listened to stories of laity living out their call in a variety of settings, and learned about the different pathways available to laity through Lay Servant Ministries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We closed the day with an information session on our upcoming Certified Lay Ministry Candidate Training Program<\/a>, where past and current participants shared how the cohort experience supported their formation and discernment, and offered a glimpse of how this program forms laity for defined, accountable roles in ministry carried out in teams alongside clergy and congregations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
