Ephesians 2:10 For we are what he has made us, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand to be our way of life.
Jaye Nesbitt White has no hometown, but claims Fayetteville as home base since she has lived there longer than any other of the many places she has called home throughout her life. Her father was an Air Force chaplain and her husband, Mark, is retired from the U.S. Army. She has lived in 16 states. plus Japan and Germany for varying amounts of time. She and Mark have two grown children, a son, Adam, and a daughter, Leah.
Jaye graduated from Eckerd College in St. Petersburg, FL and had a variety of jobs over the years, to include counseling juvenile offenders who had been sent to a halfway house by the court system, and being the director of a U.S. military run daycare center in Germany. After serving with United Methodist Women and with local churches in several roles, she fought the call to ordained ministry until she finally surrendered to the Holy Spirit! Jaye graduated from Duke Divinity School in 2010 and was ordained a Deacon in full connection in 2014. She worked as the NC Conference BRAC Mission Developer for two years, serving as a liaison between the military community and the United Methodist churches surrounding Ft. Bragg as we welcomed new people and fostered new relationships. She then served St. Luke UMC Sanford as the Coordinator of Nurture, Outreach and Witness for three years.
Jaye is excited for all the ways God is working in and through the North Carolina Conference Connectional Table and looks forward to seeing where God leads us as we serve together.
