Registration deadline for ACS for youth
The registration for high school students to attend ACS (Annual Conference Session for Youth) is June 27. ACS will be held July 18-23 at Methodist University in Fayetteville. High school students who have completed grades 9-12 are eligible to attend. The total cost is $250. ACS is very important as district and conference leadership positions are elected/selected at that time. As with Annual Conference for pastors and laity – each church is expected to send at least one youth representative from their church to ACS. The registration form can be found in the 2011 Youth Events Brochure which is available for download on the website at www.nccumc.org/youth.
Campus ministers want to meet UM college students
Pastors are asked to submit names and contact information of 2011 high school graduates, as well as the student’s intended college or university for enrollment in the fall. This mid-year entry into the Online Data Collection System is crucial to campus ministers at our public universities and community colleges. College admissions offices do not provide students’ names to campus ministers and students are not required to indicate religious preference when they enroll. Pastors, please help make the connection for students and a campus ministry at their school of choice.
