All clergy and lay members of the North Carolina Conference are invited to a time of prayer for the ministry that will take place in the new conference facility under construction in Garner. All outer walls are now up. Come to the building site (700 Waterfield Ridge Place, Garner, NC) on Monday, Oct. 12, from 12 noon – 1 p.m. to participate in bathing the building and building site with prayer.
Everyone attending can record their prayers and scripture on the walls so that they become a permanent part of the building. The walls will be covered as construction continues but the hope that the core of the building will be covered with the prayers and scripture passages that are guiding our vision of how we serve to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world.
Anyone who cannot be present on Oct. 12 can send a prayer or scripture passage to be recorded on the walls. Requests should be sent to nccbuilds@nccumc.org.
**Please note that this is a construction site so please wear appropriate footwear – no sandals, etc. There is mud all around so wear shoes that are suitable for walking through mud.**

Prayer Walls
Ezekiel 33:7
7“So with you, son of dust. I have appointed you as a watchman for the people of Israel; therefore, listen to what I say and warn them for me. 8When I say to the wicked, ‘O wicked man, you will die!’ and you don’t tell him what I say, so that he does not repent—that wicked person will die in his sins, but I will hold you responsible for his death. 9But if you warn him to repent and he doesn’t, he will die in his sins, and you will not be responsible.”
Psalm 127:1-2 Unless the LORD builds the house, They labor in vain who build it; Unless the LORD guards the city, The watchman keeps awake in vain. It is vain for you to rise up early, To retire late, To eat the bread of painful labors; For God gives to His beloved even while they sleep.
Isaiah 40:31
But those who wait upon the lord shall renew their strength;they shall mount up with wings as eagles;they shall run, and not be weary: and they shall walk, and not faint.
Nehemiah 2:18 Then I told them of the hand of God which is good…. And they said, “Let us rise up and build.” So they strengthened their hands for this good work.
Psalm 66: 1-3
Make a joyful shout to God, all the earth! 2. Sind out the honor of His name; Make His praise glorious. 3. Say to God, “How awesome are your works!
