Youth Director

Mount Olivet United Methodist Church, located on the Outer Banks of NC, is seeking an energetic, growing, person of faith to serve God and this community as Director of Youth Ministry. This person will provide leadership and vision to the Youth Ministry (6th-12th grade). This person will equip and teach our youth by introducing, nurturing, and developing their spiritual growth and personal relationship with Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. The Director of Youth Ministry will also be responsible for recruiting, leading, organizing, and supporting volunteers that assist in the Youth Ministry program.
Essential Functions
Be responsible for planning, teaching, and nurturing the faith development of youth as they seek to grow in their knowledge and trust of God through educational opportunities such as Bible studies, programs, fellowship opportunities and retreats. Equip and teach youth to be present, lead, and participate in worship and other church related functions such as youth praise, and Christmas program.
Actively participate in the community, supporting and encouraging the youth in the different activities they are a part of in the community.
Plan and carry out fun and engaging programs that nurture a culture that draws youth in through games and activities both indoor and outdoor.
Recruit parents and volunteers to support the Youth Ministry program, retreats, and events throughout the year…
