Weekday Preschool Director

The director is responsible for leading the Weekday Preschool consisting of a half day program for 14 classes, approximately 140 children, and 22 staff that is theologically sound, educationally and developmentally appropriate, and professionally operated. Not all children attend every day, so each day consists of 7 classes, 14 teachers, and 78 children. The director reports to the Weekday Preschool board and should possess the following attributes:
• A commitment to Christian Weekday Education and involvement in a local Christian church.
• Graduate of an accredited college or university with a major in early childhood education, child development, or other related field. Must have experience in a child related program and in an administrative position.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to articulate vision and mission of the program to current and prospective families, staff, and the community.
• Skills to resolve conflict and emotional maturity to be an efficient supervisor of personnel and liaison to parents.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills with ability to manage web content and marketing materials.
• Financial acumen and capability to manage budget while balancing the needs of the program and center.
• Technical skills include MS Office (Word, Excel, Publisher), website maintenance, Adobe, and online document management and file sharing environments.
