The Chaplain will lead a dynamic program, including creative and meaningful worship experiences with opportunities for study and social service, to promote the spiritual growth and wellbeing of the Spartanburg Methodist College community. In order to be considered as a candidate for this position, the following information must be sent to Mrs. Dunn:
• A letter from the candidate that address the strengths she/he will bring to this ministry and a concept of the ministry that the candidate would bring to Spartanburg Methodist College if selected for this position;
• A complete and current resume;
• The names and phone numbers (work, home, cell) of three references, one of whom should have current or recent supervisory responsibility over the candidate; and
• Request that a transcript of all graduate work be sent to the College. Submit unofficial transcripts if available.
QUALIFICATIONS: The Chaplain must hold at least the Master of Divinity degree, be an ordained elder in the United Methodist Church and demonstrate pastoral skills, preaching ability, and effectiveness in working with young adults.
