Administrative Assistant
30 Hours/Week: Start Date May 7, 2018
Open Table United Methodist Church is a new church near downtown Raleigh, NC that’s an inclusive, affirming, multi-cultural, and justice-based community of grace. The ideal candidate will have experience and interpersonal skills to seamlessly work across a variety of roles, who can work both independently and in a group setting, who is willing to seek out creative solutions to new challenges, who is comfortable with emerging technology, and thrives as the lead organizer for various ministry teams. The primary tasks of this position include, but are not limited to:
Office Management:
To be the primary office manager
To contact, respond to and support church members and community as needed
To ensure that all financial records and reports are maintained (data entry & bookkeeping)
Staff Support:
To give direct administrative support and schedule coordination to the Senior Pastor
Communications:
To serve as the lead in creation and delivery for all digital and print communications
To regularly update web site and all digital apps (no programming needed)
Ministry Coordination:
To work with ministry teams and program leaders to coordinate volunteers, maintain ministry consistency, and assist in ministry communication.
Salary: 30 hour/week @ $20/hour = $31,200/annually. Vacation is included. No Benefits.
Hours are slightly flexible within normal office hours and to be negotiated in offer of employment. Ideally, all employees of Open Table are expected to regularly attend worship and call Open Table their church home. To apply, send a cover letter and resume to: info@opentableumc.org
