Nursery and Preschool Ministries Coordinator

The Nursery & Preschool Ministries Coordinator interfaces, coordinates, and collaborates with the Senior Pastor, staff, and laity in developing and providing discipleship ministries for children from birth through age 4, or until they enter kindergarten. This position shall seek to foster Christian discipleship through relationships with and among the youngest of the congregation and their families to strengthen their commitment to Christ and to the church. This position will coordinate the Infant Ministries Support staff who provide childcare to infants during Sunday mornings and other weekly program times. This position is responsible for recruiting, coaching, and coordinating volunteers to work in the nursery and pre-school classrooms. This position shall work in collaboration with the Youth Ministries Coordinator and the Children’s Coordinator, under the direction of the Minister of Discipleship. Most importantly, this position should encourage and nurture children and their families, building a foundation of Christian love and support, and helping them to learn what it means to be a disciple of Christ.
