Culbreth Memorial UMC in Fayetteville, NC is searching for a part-time Music Director. All applicants should have a Holy reverence for the design and practice of worship. Qualifications: Must be able to read and play traditional and contemporary music appropriate for each service, Must have at least one year of church worship service experience and a minimum of 2 written references in the area of music leadership, Present a professional and neat appearance at all times, Be able to apply liturgical and contemporary music norms of the Methodist tradition in preparation for regular worship and special services.
Duties include but are not limited to: Playing the piano for each worship service (will also be able to play the organ preferably), Hold choir rehearsals once a week and implement plans for special music as appropriate, Assist the Pastor in planning worship each week, Responsible for the Power Point each Sunday – creation and recruitment to run it, Be available for special occasion services to include holidays and VBS.
