Director of Youth Ministries

Haymount United Methodist Church in Fayetteville, N. C. is seeking a full-time director of youth ministries to oversee and coordinate the ministry for youth, grades six through twelve. The candidate needs to have experience in youth ministry, be willing to live in the community, and have a willingness to relate well with parents and youth. He/ she must embrace Christian discipline and United Methodist doctrine and theology. The candidate must have a bachelor’s degree in a related field and preference will be given to those achieving a Master’s Degree in a related field. The candidate must have vision and a demonstrated ability to plan, develop, coordinate, manage, and implement ministry within the parameters of the United Methodist Church. He/she must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, conflict management skills, and computer/technology skills. The candidate must possess a proven ability to work effectively with youth and their families, diverse individuals, and teams of volunteers.
