Covenant Church United Methodist, a growing, active, 1000 member church in north High Point, is seeking a full-time Business/Human Resource Manager to coordinate all business, human resources and financial functions. Founded 25 years ago with the merger of two churches Covenant has ties to serving this community for nearly 100 years. In addition to the traditional church programs of youth, music, Sunday school, worship, senior services and numerous community outreach ministries Covenant also operates thriving preschool and after-school programs.
The successful candidate will be a business professional with a strong understanding of accounting, human resources and finance especially in a non-profit or church setting and will meet the following criteria.
Requirements:
Bachelor Degree – preferably in Accounting, Human Resources, Finance, or Business Administration
Minimum five years related experience with focus on cash management, human resources, and fund accounting. (Non-profit or church related experience is preferred.)
Demonstrated understanding of the following areas:
GAAP
Human Resource Policy and Implementation
Budget Preparation and Management
Financial Statement preparation and reporting
Cash/Balance sheet management
Personnel Management
Employee Relations
