The annual meeting of the SEJ of the United Methodist Historical Society met on the Campus of Florida Southern College in Lakeland, Florida from July 10 through the 13. This campus is the home of the largest collection of buildings designed by the famous architect, Frank Lloyd Wright, and all participants enjoyed a tour of the structures and learned of the long existing relationship between Florida Methodist and Cuba. At that meeting, the Rev. Dennis Lamm was voted onto the Executive Committee and Lay member John Mitchell was voted onto the Steering Committee. In 2016, the North Carolina Historical Society will be hosting the event and will be meeting in New Bern, North Carolina. Come and join us next July 19 – 22, 2016 as we look at the early days of Methodism in colonial North Carolina.
