The Duke Divinity School Hispanic House of Studies in partnership with The Duke Endowment, the North Carolina and Western North Carolina Conferences of the United Methodist Church will hold its annual event, Sumérgete: Retreat for Pastors Serving the Hispanic and Latino Community. This retreat will take place at Lake Junaluska Conference and Retreat Center in Lake Junaluska, North Carolina. At this retreat, we will immerse ourselves into the heart of the “Good Shepherd” through praise, worship, and theological reflection. We will learn from a team of Christian community developers from Neighborhood Ministries in Phoenix, Arizona about the power of telling our own story, the significance of learning healthy ways to tell the stories of those we serve, and the importance of creating spaces so that those we serve can share their story themselves. Deadline to register has been extended to April 15. Reduced registration cost is $150.00.
