We hope to raise awareness within the faith community in North Carolina about Human Trafficking on September 24, 2017 and we’re asking you as part of the faith community to offer prayer, worship, and commitment to take action to stop it.
We selected September 24, 2017 as it has been set aside by International Salvation Army as a Day of Prayer for Victims of Human Trafficking. International Justice Mission has designated that same day as “Freedom Sunday”.
There are several ways to involve your congregations.
Pray for Human Trafficking victims, traffickers, and buyers during the worship service.
Provide a bulletin insert explaining the issue of Human Trafficking and asking for worshipers to answer God’s call to seek justice on this issue.
Dedicate the entire worship service to the topic of Human Trafficking.
Host a prayer vigil or prayer walk Sunday evening.
These are just some suggestions.
