The NCC Mission Team is sponsoring a daylong seminar (9 AM to 3 PM Saturday February 27 at Cedar Grove UMC) filled with practical ways churches can invest in community gardening. The seminar will be led by Rev. Grace Hackney and Charles Edens, manager of Anathoth Gardens, one of our NCC supported mission projects. Practicums will include ways to help gardens become self-sustaining. Lunch is provided. Participants will tour of Anathoth Gardens after lunch. The Conference Mission Team seeks to help community gardeners network and learn best practices for this important outreach ministry. There is no cost, but preregistration is required. To register, contact Kathy Duncan at kduncan@nccumc.org or call her at 1-800-849-4433. For questions about seminar details, please contact Bill Haddock at revbillh@nccumc.org. Cedar Grove UMC is located at 5218 Efland-Cedar Grove Rd., Cedar Grove, NC, North of I-40/I-85 Exit 160 (Efland).
