The youth at St. Luke UMC in Goldsboro, along with other local churches and youth groups, will be participating in the annual Cardboard City – Nov. 19th-20th. This event brings awareness and aid to the homeless population the city and surrounding areas.
The youth will raise their “rent” through donations and will sleep in a cardboard box in Herman Park. Proceeds this year will go to the Bridge to Hope Mobile Medical Unit.
From 7:00-10:00 pm on the 19th, the community is invited to attend. During this time there will be guest speakers and performances by local Christian artists. The next morning the participants will be serving free breakfast, offering free haircuts, and passing out bagged lunches and hygiene kits to those in need. Come join us!!
