“God’s Declassified Life Survival Guide”
July 13-18 ,2015 at Methodist University
Annual Conference Session for youth is a week for high school youth to make important decisions through legislative affairs and grow closer to God through interest groups, worship, and growth groups. Every night we have an activity planned, such as an ice cream social, a dance, talent show and Friday night communion service. In Legislative Affairs, youth present resolutions they have written, on issues they are passionate about. The youth at ACS vote on the resolutions and if they pass, copies of those resolutions are sent to businesses, organizations, clergy, etc. During this week, Conference youth vote on officers who will represent the youth on various conference committees. Also representatives to the conference are named for the Conference Youth Council, Conference Council on Youth Ministries, Resolutions Committee, Communications Committee, and the YSF Task Force. This week at Methodist University is a great experience for youth to learn more about the United Methodist Church. This week also challenges youth to a stronger and deeper faith. Through worship and growth groups they learn more about God and their relationship with Him. Speaking from a youth’s point of view, this week changes lives and has a strong impact on all who attend.
