One Great Hour of Sharing March 30
One Great Hour of Sharing (OGHS) is one of the six churchwide Special Sundays with offerings of The United Methodist Church. One Great Hour of Sharing enables the United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR) to live out its mission to alleviate human suffering. UMCOR responds to natural or human-made disasters – those interruptions of such magnitude that they overwhelm a community’s ability to recover on its own. An excellent video clip by Bishop Ward to highlight OGHS for church congregations is at OGHS1. Another video clip which shows the work of UMCOR is available at OGHS2. Please offer church members the opportunity to be a part of this global recovery and healing ministry.
