New Creation United Methodist Church in Durham NC seeks a Lead Musician (Keyboardist) who shall be responsible for playing the piano and conducting music programs within the church, with particular emphasis on Sunday morning gathering (praise team) and worship (choir – adult and may include children in the future). He/she will play music for Sunday bilingual worship services and other agreed upon church events during the year. He/she shall seek to provide music leadership (i.e., assisting in music selection, choir and praise team rehearsal, and the musical portion of worship), including music education. The successful candidate will have the ability to work well with multiple Choir Directors and have the ability to read sheet music and play by ear.
