Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Serve as a spiritual leader of the Methodist University community
• Design and implement weekly interdenominational worship service
• Develop and implement the Methodist University’s Campus Ministry program
• Serve and provide pastoral care for students, faculty, and staff
• Supervise, support and attend the numerous clubs and organizations associated with Campus Ministry
• Develop future strategies for growth, operational excellence and impact by overseeing the campus ministry leadership team
• Continue to expand mission program, creating domestic and global opportunities for student engagement
• Assist with the development of the new Matthews World Ministry Center and its programs
• Develop, implement and supervise church relations program, including communications and programs with area churches and pastors
• Serve on United Methodist Boards, agencies and committees as deemed appropriate and would benefit Methodist University
• Serve as Director of the Center for Community Engagement and coordinate related programs
• Serve as liaison between University departments and area organizations to create community service opportunities, including Sinkovitz-Smith Day of Service
• Works closely with other University offices, especially those related to Enrollment, Student Success, Academic Affairs, and Student Affairs
• In conjunction with staff, develop and supervise budget
• Participate in the President’s Cabinet meeting
• Serve on University committees as assigned by the President
• Other duties as assigned by the President
