Support and Resource the Connection
• Maintain the International Opportunities for UMVIM Teams List
• Resource & attend: Board of Directors meetings, Conference UMVIM Coordinators meetings, & SEJ Conference Secretaries of Global Ministries
• Provide reports to the Southeastern Jurisdiction Committee on Coordination and Accountability & Global Ministries Mission Volunteers
• Attend Jurisdictional UMVIM Coordinators meetings
• Promote UMVIM, Global Ministries Mission Volunteers, &The Advance Programs
• Communicate the need for Early Response & Long-term Teams following a disaster
• Assist with Volunteer Management following a disaster
• Assist with the SEJ Disaster Academy & attend UMCOR Sager Brown Academy
Training Activites
• Provide Orientation & training to Conference UMVIM Coordinators
• Offer “Train-the-Trainers” & team leader trainings
• Resource Annual Conference UMVIM committees in the development of their programs
• Assist Global Ministries long-term Mission Volunteer training within the Jurisdiction
• Assist with Global Ministries Mission Volunteers international host trainings
Communication and Interpretation
• Develop UMVIM communications
• Offer programs & presentations to churches, groups, & special events
• Develop resources & promote UMVIM Awareness Sunday
