Summary:
This position includes cleaning our sanctuary and all adjoining rooms, the chapel and all adjoining rooms, Lee Hall and adjoining classrooms, staff offices, the kitchen, the fellowship hall/gym, and all of the common areas.
It is a part time position and has a 20 hour work week, from 10 am to 3 pm M-F
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
Daily:
-Clean church facilities including toilets, carpets, floors, fixtures, windows, mirrors, etc.
-empty all trash cans/containers
-check all rooms and restrooms in all other buildings and clean them as needed
-check and lock all doors at 3 pm when you leave
Weekly:
-Clean all floors in all rooms (vacuum, sweep, and/or mop)
-clean all counter tops and sinks
-dust window sills, blinds, railings, and furniture in all rooms
-clean sanctuary including altar area. Vacuum floors and pew seats, dust pews, and dust window sills on FRIDAYs
-Check and change light bulbs when needed
-notify administrative assistant every Friday of upcoming week’s schedule so administrative assistant is aware when sexton on campus
Monthly:
-Wash and clean all inside and outside doors (front and back)
-clean ice maker
-check fire extinguishers and sign off
Quarterly:
-clean all carpets using professional equipment
-clean gym floor using professional equipment
-strip and wax the kitchen floor
-change all AC filters
-wash interior side of all ‘reachable’ windows
-replace and exchange burned out light bulbs
Other Responsibilities include setting up/taking down chairs, simple repairs, simple paint jobs around the church.
