Randolph-Macon College invites applications for a Program Coordinator, to support the Valuing the Voices in our Church program. This is a part-time, 10-hours per week role that is grant funded for one year with the possibility of funding for additional years.
The Program Coordinator will be a key leader in helping Randolph-Macon College fulfill our responsibility to the Young Clergy Initiative of the United Methodist Church through the Valuing the Voices in our Church grant initiative. The Program Coordinator is responsible for recruiting high school participants and organizing registration for the Fall 2019 event on campus. Additionally, the Program Coordinator will create, plan, and moderate an online community.
A bachelor’s degree and experience working with high school youth is required. The candidate must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and possess excellent written and oral communication skills for interactions with church staff members, denominational offices, parents, high school students, and college mentors. Applicants will require the ability to facilitate discussion on the topic of Vocation, knowledge of the United Methodist Church structure and an active interest and participation in topics and groups affirming diversity.
Randolph-Macon is a United Methodist College with 1450 students and is located in Ashland, VA, a residential community 15 miles north of Richmond and 90 miles south of Washington D.C.
