Primarily responsible for providing creative vision, curriculum leadership, and administrative direction to Front Street UMC’s Playschool, all within the spiritual disciplines and teachings of the United Methodist Church. The Director must consistently focus on fostering an environment of positive employee relations and communications, especially with the Playschool’s teaching staff, while also maintaining harmonious relationships with all staff of Front Street UMC.
This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: religious education, application of religious principles and doctrine (specifically that of the United Methodist Church) to the delivery of early childhood education, staffing, on-boarding and off-boarding, employee relations, payroll, benefits and compensation, performance management, training and development, compliance, succession planning, facilities management and planning, and employee retention.
