This position is salary, part-time with salary negotiable.
The position includes Sunday Worship Services, rehearsals with the choir, and special services to include Ash Wednesday, Maundy Thursday, and Christmas Eve.
To provide organ accompaniment for scheduled worship services and other occasions in support of music ministry of church.
Ability to play organ. Piano/keyboard is an asset.
Ability to sight-read.
Ability to take direction and work as a team member.
Works with pastor and music director. Receives music selections from pastor/music director.
Receives direction from pastor/ and is accountable to Staff Parish Relation Committee.
Background check required and favorable results from drug screening as required by Safe Sanctuary Policy.
Rehearse weekly with church choir and special musicians as needed.
Accompany choir and special musicians during scheduled worship services.
Support church’s worship environment through well-prepared execution of music presented by choir and special musicians.
Provide assistance in planning, preparing, rehearsing and playing appropriate music for scheduled worship services and other required occasions to support music ministry of church.
With input from pastor/music director: plan, select, and prepare preludes, postludes, and offertories.
Provide music for Funerals and Weddings as instructed by Pastor/Director of Music. Compensation for services will be paid as honorarium by family.
Attend staff meetings as requested.
