Holland’s UMC is seeking an energetic and talented part time manager to lead and coordinate the media/AV needs for worship services. The Media Manager, will coordinate and implement the media and sound for worship. Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to): Develop ProPresenter presentations for all worship services. Make weekly worship assignments via Worshipplanning.com for the audio and visual volunteers for all Sunday services and special services. Lead, recruit, and shepherd volunteers in AV areas of worship and contemporary service. Care of sound equipment and musical instruments including making arrangements for their upkeep, development, maintenance and repair. Must be able to coordinate with the AV Team on sound checks and the technical elements of the soundboard and equipment use. Coordinate logistics including set up and tear down for rehearsals and weekend worship service needs. Operate a mixing board with public speakers, musicians and/or singers. Collaborates with other church staff and worship team members to prepare for worship. This will include a weekly meeting with pastors. Remain current in professional development, worship trends, creative resources, and congregational needs and feedback. This includes worship seminars and training for the Worship Team, knowledge of the functions and potential church uses of ProPresenter and other technology and software to better the worship experience. Prepare annual budget for AV needs involved in worship services. Ensure tech support is available for weddings, funerals and special events (Discovery, VBS, women’s retreat, etc.). Other duties as assigned or required.
