Major Duties: Represents Cokesbury as a member of the Greensboro bookstore management team with assistant manager duties, providing supervision and leadership to staff in conjunction with the Store Manager. Works inside the retail store as well as outside church visitation. Responsibilities inside the store include customer service, merchandising, staff training, supervision, and general management of store operations. Serves local congregations by developing and strengthening relationships with church leaders and denominational offices though church visitation and outside events. Promotes Cokesbury products and services in the areas of curriculum sales/education, custom products (including church furniture, pulpit and choir robes, altarware, paraments, pew cushions).
Requirements: An Associate’s degree in Business Management, Business Administration, Christian Education, or closely related field, and at least three (3) years of retail or outside sales experience, including at least one (1) year of retail leadership/supervisory experience. A Bachelor’s degree is preferred. Previous experience with Christian Education resources, general Christian resources and/or Cokesbury product offerings is strongly preferred. Excellent sales and customer service skills with outstanding phone etiquette. Ability to work independently, with good time management and problem-solving skills. Must possess a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to serve the assigned geographic market.
