Mission Statement: God calls people to His mission and ministry in many ways, including the role of Facilities Manager. The Building Facilities Manager should strive to follow the leading of the Holy Spirit as he or she continues to grow spiritually.
General Requirements:
Identify with the Christian faith as an active member of a congregation, preferably United Methodist.
Be dependable, neat, pleasant, diplomatic, and tactful, Ability to work well with others
Satisfactory completion of criminal background check in present and prior counties of residency.
Be a self starter.
Specific Knowledge/Skills Required:
Experience in maintenance trades, with strong mechanical aptitude, and a working knowledge of electrical, plumbing and mechanical systems preferred.
Must be a self-starter who can work well with people at all levels both in and out of the Church, adults and children. Relate well with the church members and school families in a friendly and courteous manner.
Required to be familiar with and able to use all hand tools and power tools common to the skills listed above is preferred.
Demonstrate basic computer knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, willingness to learn other programs, ability to operate basic office equipment.
Terms of Appointment:
Supervised by Board of Trustees, evaluated annually by Senior Pastor and Staff Parish Relations Committee, six month probationary period.
Hours: 32 hours per week (during certain weeks these hours may be extended).
Salary: based on knowledge and experience.
