FVUMC is a thriving church family with a great deal of history and a great deal of potential energy ready to serve our fast-growing and diverse town. Two new families a day are moving into our area. Just to our south, we are expecting 15,000 new neighbors in the next decade. Our community needs our church to thrive, to develop leaders, and to send people out to care and serve. And, our church needs you to come help be a part of this awesome movement.
The work of the Director of Discipleship is more important than ever. For 2022, the first of our two congregational imperatives is to Cultivate Community. That is, to tend, prune, and care for the communities that exist and also to give life to new places for people to connect. We have a great team of leaders in place who are ready to join you in developing strategies and equipping volunteers. In everything we do, we hope to help our church family build deeper and more meaningful relationships with Jesus, with each other, and with our community.
You will also join a staff team that really loves what they do, that’s got each other’s backs, and that laughs together often. If you’re on the fence about working at FVUMC, come hang out with us – we would love to meet you and have you over for lunch.
We look forward to hearing from you! If you have questions, you’re welcome to contact us at jobs@fvumc.org. If you’re ready to apply, please email your cover letter and resume to jobs@fvumc.org.
