The Indiana Conference of The United Methodist Church seeks a devoted disciple of Jesus Christ with demonstrated capacity to identify, develop, and enhance the leadership potential of others. The successful candidate will understand and accept the teamwork and accountability inherent in maintaining a spiritual covenant and supportive participation with other individuals who are collectively responsible for the vision, mission, and ministry of the Conference. Further, the successful candidate will have the ability to design and implement coherent strategies for using existing church structures to discover and develop the talents of clergy and laity for excellence in transformational, active, and effective leadership. The selected candidate will have willingness to travel extensively, have high capacity for dealing with complexity, ambiguity, and competing priorities and high tolerance for professional availability outside of normal working hours. Applicants must have, at minimum, a master’s degree; coupled with pertinent experience that generally could not be accumulated in less than five years. Letter of interest, application form and resume must be sent electronically to human.resources@inumc.org. In carrying out this process, the conference is seeking diversity in culture, race and gender. Applications received by Monday, Feb. 17 will be given first consideration.
