Part-time opening (approximately 20 hours/week) for a Director of Human Resources at Edenton Street United Methodist Church, a 4,200-member church located in downtown Raleigh, NC. Position will report to the Senior Pastor and support a five-member core leadership team and fifty employees. Focus includes equipping the core team to live into their full potential and helping them create a desirable work environment through engagement on key supervisory tasks (e.g., organizational design and staff alignment, performance reviews, ongoing performance management, coaching and feedback). Key projects include creating a management skills development program and engaging parish support for content creation and delivery, establishing a process for on-boarding new employees, guiding the revision of select position descriptions, establishing practices and offering guidance for search committees and reviewing and updating policies and procedures. Bachelor’s degree with 6 years in HR management required. S/PHR preferred. Strong facilitation, organizational effectiveness and management consulting skills required along with the ability to work independently.
